Ridge Augmentation and Preservation Procedures
We can restore the natural shape of the jaw bone and proper functioning of the jaw with a ridge augmentation or ridge preservation procedure. Dr. Fields has extensive experience performing these bone graft procedures that work to restore lost bone tissue and reshape the gums. These procedures are typically performed under local anesthesia.
Sinus Augmentation Procedures
Sinus augmentation, also known as a sinus lift, may be necessary when you want to get dental implants and there is not enough available bone in the upper molar area. We need a sufficient amount of bone in this area to ensure the dental implant can be fused properly. Undergoing this procedure means you need to wait until the bone is completely healed, about four to nine months, before dental implant placement.
